Founded in 1957, The Townsmen Big Band is one of Northeast Ohio’s longest-running big bands, carrying forward a Cleveland musical tradition that spans generations. Inspired by the great orchestras of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, their sound is bold, joyful, and timeless.
This is more than a performance — it’s a revival of an era when Cleveland ballrooms were full, the music was elegant, and Sunday afternoons meant dressing sharp, dancing close, and being part of something larger than yourself.
