Event Details

Marcella Caffie will be at The Sixty6 for a special daytime performance playing a Steinway piano. As a lifelong Clevelander, educator, and accomplished pianist, Marcella has spent decades using music to serve her faith and community.

Marcella began playing piano at six years old, inspired by the musical influence of her mother. She continued developing her craft under the guidance of Al Berardi, Nell Quinn, John Powell, and instructors at the Cleveland Music Settlement. Her dedication to music has remained central throughout her life, including more than 65 years of service as a musician at Original Harvest Missionary Baptist Church.

A graduate of Cleveland Public Schools and Cleveland State University, Marcella earned a bachelor’s degree in education and taught for 31 years. Her impact extends beyond the classroom through a musical career rooted in gospel, worship, and community connection.

Marcella has served as a musician for the Northern Ohio Baptist Association, the Ohio Baptist General Convention, the International Ministers’ Wives and Ministers’ Widows organization, and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was also a national pianist for the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, musical director for Eta Phi Beta Sorority, and musical director for Amen Corner at the Cleveland Play House.

Through every performance and position, Marcella has shared her gift with purpose. Her life reflects a deep commitment to education, faith, family, and the power of music to bring people together. Join us at The Sixty6 for an afternoon with one of Cleveland’s most respected pianists as she brings the warmth and richness of the Steinway to life.

Free admission, no tickets required.
