Born and raised in the rich soil of Northeast China Plain, Mingzhou (Noa) Han is an undergraduate junior at Case Western Reserve University studying mechanical engineering. A protégé of the art of jazz piano, he draws inspiration from heroes such as Kenny Kirkland and Keith Jarrett, while also shaped by contemporary voices including Nas and Fiona Apple. Over the past two years, he has been immersed in the Northeast Ohio jazz scene, learning from and performing alongside its longtime legends. He collaborates with fellow music talents of his generation from Cleveland as the power collective E.C.M.G., bringing together a shared respect for the jazz tradition with an ear toward the present.
