Third Thursday Jazz is a monthly gathering where live music, community, and creative energy converge. Rooted in Cleveland, the series opens space for jazz inviting audiences to slow down, listen deeply, and connect through sound.
Born and raised on the Northeast China Plain, Mingzhou (Noa) Han is an undergraduate junior at Case Western Reserve University studying mechanical engineering and a dedicated student of jazz piano. Drawing inspiration from masters like Kenny Kirkland and Keith Jarrett, while also shaped by contemporary voices such as Nas and Fiona Apple, Han’s sound bridges tradition and modern influence. Over the past two years, he has immersed himself in the Northeast Ohio jazz scene, learning from and performing alongside its longtime legends. Alongside fellow emerging artists, he collaborates as part of the Cleveland-based collective E.C.M.G., bringing together a shared reverence for jazz history with a forward-looking creative vision.
