The 150 Trio carries more than a name—it reflects a combined 150 years of blues experience shared between Tim Matson (guitar, vocals), Dave Morrison (harmonica, vocals), and John Lucic (guitar, vocals). Each musician has spent decades in Cleveland’s blues scene, with roots in bands like Mr. Stress, Natural Facts, Aces and Eights, The Hollywood Slim Band, The GeezeCats, and The Wallace Coleman Band. Together, they bring that lineage into a trio format that is direct, seasoned, and grounded in tradition. With two guitars and harmonica at the center, the trio leans into classic blues structures—shuffle rhythms, slow burners, and up-tempo grooves—carried by voices that have lived with this music over time. The format keeps things close: interplay between players, space for solos, and a sense of ease that comes from years on stage. It’s blues that doesn’t need to prove itself, just played and shared.
